Ten Tips For A Musically Exceptional Affair:

Your APOL bandleader can be helpful in suggesting optimum party conditions.

The following tips will help maximize your party's potential.

1. Choose a room that is the right size for your party, with good acoustics and a properly-sized dance floor. Your APOL bandleader is skilled at adjusting volume and equalization, to assure the best sound quality.

2. Position the band in a centrally located area, opposite the head table, visible from every corner of the room and adjacent to the dance floor. Your APOL bandleader can offer advice on the best location for entertaining you and your guests.

3. Ensure that the bandstand or area designated for the band is large enough to accommodate your band. Your APOL bandleader will be in contact with your banquet manager to make sure this is addressed.

4. Take care that tables are not set up between the band and the dance floor. A sensibly set up ballroom will eliminate the possibility of "audio discomfort."

5. Make sure the bar, the sweet table, and you remain in the main party room throughout the event. This encourages your guests to stay where the fun is on the dance floor!

6. Request that room lighting be dimmed before dancing begins. A romantically lit dance floor will be more inviting to all of your guests.

7. Ask your videographer to use available light if possible, or a camera mounted flood at the most. Once again, for romance's sake.

8. Gather your bridal party and parents in advance of the first dance. Your APOL bandleader will give you ample time belore he introduces you.

9. Let your photographer and videographer know when special programming is to take place. Your APOL bandleader will be in communication with your other providers so that your first dance, throwing of the bouquet, and other events are captured on film and tape.

10. Ask your photographer to take all of his standard portraits before dancing begins, and to shoot only the dance floor once the party is in full swing. The fun and excitement generated by your APOL bandleader on the dance floor, will provide your photographer and videographer with their best shots, and you with your favorite memories.
