Rebecca Tannahill graduated from Westmont High School in the spring of 2008. As a senior in high school, Rebecca played various clarinets in the Concert Band, including tenor saxophone in the Jazz Ensemble. Rebecca was also a drum major, and played in the All-Conference Honors Band for three years and has earned several Division I Superior solo ratings. She was involved on stage and backstage in several dramatic presentations. She studied private clarinet and was a member of the Westmont Community Band. Rebecca is now attending Elmhurst College where her music studies will continue to be a large part of her college course work.
Chris Hartz, also from Westmont High School, now attends Eastern Illinois University after attending their 2007 summer band camp. Chris has been studying the trombone privately for the past seven years, played in the Westmont Community Band for the past two years, and founded the high school brass quintet, "Hy Flys". He also played trombone in the school musicals, "Beauty & The Beast", and "Grease". Chris was the marching band drum major his senior year after attending drum major camp at the University of Wisconsin, Whitewater. He was a member of the school prep band, marching band and jazz band.
Sara Louise Casey is currently attending Bradley University where she is majoring in flute. At Westmont High School she played in the school woodwind quintet, marching and prep bands, steel drum ensemble, the pit band for several school musicals, community band, and her church orchestra. For three years Sara tutored young flute students and was a member of the All-Star IMEA, Suburban Prarie, and I-8 Honor Bands. She has worked in the band Craft Fair, been a band officer, and a flag team captain. Throughout Sara's high school years she studied flute and music theory privately and was a member of the National Honor Society.
