Our 31st Annual Dinner Dance and Scholarship Fundraiser attracted approximately 130 loyal musicians and supporters for an evening of elegant dining and dancing to the classic big band sounds of Fred Radke and the Harry James Orchestra.
Thanks to all of you who believe that our efforts to keep the big band tradition alive and encourage young musicians to do the same are worth supporting. In addition, $1,050 was raised for scholarships, $500 of which we have approved to be awarded to Brian Smith, a senior at York High School in Elmhurst. If he continues his music studies at the University of Illinois in Champaign, Ubana next year, he will automatically be elligible for an additional $500.
